DRC: 52,246 tonnes of cobalt exported at the end of August 2021 for a market value of 2.6 billion USD
The mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo produced and exported 52,246.00 tonnes of cobalt in the first 8 months of the year, according to data from the Ministry of Mines.
With cobalt prices around USD 52,000 per tonne currently, if we consider an average of USD 50,000 per tonne, this export volume should generate a market selling value of USD 2 billion 612.300 million.
