The DRC exported more than 14,000 tons of cassiterite for a value of 146 million USD in the first half of 2021

Cassiterite miners, industrial and artisanal, exported in the first half of 2021 a volume of 14,206.46 tonnes for a value of 146 million 490,603.00 USD, data from the Ministry of Mines of the Democratic Republic of the Congo indicate.

Industrial exploitation remains the largest supplier of cassiterite in the DRC with 10,346.01 tonnes exported for a value of 110 million USD 386,123.00 against 3,860.45 tonnes exported for a value of 36 million USD 104,480.00 for the operation artisanal.

Alphamines is the largest producer and exporter of cassiterite in the DRC with 10,064.00 tonnes exported in the first half of 2021 for a value of 104 million 162,160.00 USD.

The other two cassiterite producing companies are SAKIMA with 176.60 tonnes exported for a value of 2 million USD 381 962.00 and SMB with 105.41 tonnes exported for a value of 3 million USD 842,001.00.
