World: the ton of cobalt registers a negative price difference of -20 USD this week

The general price trend for mining products exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the international market is upward for the period from April 18 to 23, 2022.

On the other hand, two main mining products exported from the DRC, namely cobalt and copper, recorded a slight drop in price during this period, informs the National Commission of Mercurial Prices of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, which monitors the evolution of the prices of these products.

According to this document, a ton of cobalt is expected to trade at 81,559.00 USD this week compared to 81,579.00 USD last week, a slight drop in price of -20 USD.

According to the projections of Congolese government experts meeting within the national commission on market prices, copper should also experience a drop in price during this period.

This product should be sold at 10,281.00 USD per ton this week against 10,331.95 USD per ton last week, a price drop of around -50.95 USD.

The hit of the week is achieved by tin, which recorded a price increase of around 1,073 USD per tonne, from 43,375.00 USD per tonne last week to 44,448.00 USD per tonne. this week.

Tin is on a good run especially with the increasingly growing development of technology and the automotive industry.
