ARSP popularizes the Law on subcontracting in the private sector in Kwilu

The law on subcontracting in the private sector must be known and applied by everyone throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It is in this context that the number 2 of the Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP), Georgine Madiko, blocked a stay in Kikwit, capital of the province of Kwilu.

She had to raise awareness among the population about the importance of this law in the economic life of the country.

Two objectives were assigned to this mission in Kwilu: First, to raise awareness of the law on subcontracting in the private sector. Second, prepare the ground for a future installation of the ARSP office in the Kwilu province.

“We arrived in the town of Kikwit with a specific mission: to popularize the law on subcontracting in the private sector with a view to preparing the ground for a future installation of the ARSP office in the province of Kwilu and here in Kikwit.

The ARSP is the regulatory authority for subcontracting in the private sector. It is a public establishment of an administrative nature and endowed with legal personality, with the aim of regulating subcontracting activities ordered by private companies operating in all sectors of the national economy.

Let us recall that in the DRC, subcontracting activity was controlled for several decades by foreign investors with the consequences of the ousting of companies with Congolese capital, very few jobs created and the total absence of a middle class that could serve as a channel of transmission between big business and the working class.

“It was therefore important to create this public establishment in order to fill this void,” indicated number 2 of the ARSP.

And added: “By supporting and encouraging the subcontracting activities of small and medium-sized local businesses, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) wants to embrace sustainable economic growth as well as improving the quality of life of its citizens by materializing the vision of the Head of State Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi, that of the creation of a true Congolese middle class, as well as the emergence of Congolese millionaires.

Mrs. Georgine Madiko signs loud and clear that the ARSP is part of the vision of the Head of State to achieve progress in terms of increasing more than 115% of companies registered and eligible for subcontracting in the private sector.

The Deputy Director General of ARSP emphasizes that it was necessary to prepare entrepreneurs, young people and the entire population of this province to create viable small and medium-sized businesses to participate in the value chain by accessing sub-markets. -contracting and contribute to reducing the unemployment rate.

Mrs. Georgine Madiko also affirms that the Congolese Head of State sent a strong message to the entire population of Kwilu in general and to that of Kikwit in particular. Which testifies to his attachment to this land of nationalist fathers.
