Toll-free number to denounce acts of corruption (+243827741441)- DRC
The capacity building seminar for parliamentarians ended this Saturday, October 17 in Kinshasa with the opening of a book on the fight against corruption. The work entitled “Compendium of legal instruments for the fight against corruption in the DRC”. Presented by the deputy Lucain Kasongo and varnished by the deputy chief of staff of Jeanine Mabunda, president of the National Assembly, who represented her at this ceremony.
It is co-authored with the deputy Jean-Pierre Pasi Zapamba, Jean-Baptiste Kumasamba, Paulin Katsuva and Dalton Buyula.
After a panoply of speakers, mostly experts in the fight against corruption, the deputy Pasi Zapamba, president of APNAC-DRC, delivered the toll-free number to call to denounce cases of corruption.

The deputy Pasi Zapamba, president of APNAC-DRC did not hide his satisfaction after the successful outcome of this work. Reiterating his call for a common front against corruption which he describes as an evil which plagues society. He believes that these exchanges have enabled parliamentarians to be equipped in order to be able to face this September session, which is essentially budgetary.
Several subjects were programmed during this seminar:
– justice in the fight against corruption: A problematic, challenges and roles of magistrates in the fight against impunity “, by Prof Kayumbu;
– “Assessment of the level of application of laws on the award and execution of public contracts (detection and practice of corruption)”, by Maître Kabeya Mwana Kalala;
– “Agency for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption, APLC: its missions, its contribution to the fight, mechanisms for tracing and recovering assets”, by Ghislain Kikangala, APLC coordinator
– “Fight against illicit financial flows: concept, problematic, challenges and its impact on the development of the DRC”, by Kisula Betika, CENAREF Coordinator.
And for the first day, 4 speakers spoke on in particular:
– “corruption, its prevention and its repression (definitions of concepts and terminology)”, by the deputy Upira Sunguma.
– “parliamentary control: an effective tool in the fight against corruption”, by MP Lucain Kasongo.
– “corruption in public finances: from budget preparation to execution”, by Jean-Baptiste Kumasamba.
– “Public finance survey techniques for the prevention and fight against corruption”, by Jules Alingete.
