Main responsibilities

The Inventory Controller will be responsible for implementing an inventory strategy in accordance with the KPIs established annually, with the aim of optimizing capital and maximizing inventory availability as well as investigating equipment shortages and determine the root cause to prevent them from recurring. He will also need to review the parameters of inventory planning in order to achieve economical replenishment levels that reduce the total cost of ownership, as well as investigate material shortages to determine the root cause to avoid ‘they do not reproduce.The latter will also be taken to work in collaboration with the main stakeholders within the company to understand the operational needs to be satisfied and translate them into material resources.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the resource industry sector (or industry with high asset use and maintenance) to be able to effectively analyze inventory needs;
  • Master the relationships and interdependence of data between processes;
  • Good knowledge of SAP and other similar software.

Experience

  • Have approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in controlling / managing inventory in an equipment centric environment;
  • Ideally have a relevant professional qualification and / or appropriate basic experience in inventory management / planning / purchasing;
  • Proven experience in delivering business benefits and results in the MM module of SAP;
  • Have a detailed understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and inventory control / management systems and ERP functionality;
  • Have experience in the use of inventory optimization software (Oniqua Analytics Solution preferably).

Qualifications

  • Apics Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) – (desirable)
