Main responsibilities

The main role of the Storeperson will be to carefully manage all goods placed under the control of MMG by ensuring their storage correctly, safely and accurately, on the basis of inventories. In addition to this, the Storeperson will be responsible for:

• Escort all visitors and contractors to storage areas;
• Ensure correct inspection of the quantity and quality of goods upon receipt of these items, as well as in SAP;
• Maintain an accurate inventory through proper labeling, storage and delivery of materials;
• Maintain a safe, clean and repairable work environment by following proper storage and handling procedures and performing diligent housekeeping;
• Ensure the security of goods and warehouses;
• Prepare documentation of goods to be shipped from the site;
• Complete all stock movements in SAP to accurately reflect quantity, location, serviceability and value of items;
• Perform scheduled and spot checks of stock accuracy (inventory) of items and ensure results are entered into SAP;
• Perform a full inventory count for managed inventory and reservation (issue) of goods based on consumer use;
• Identify and seize opportunities to improve the availability of equipment and customer service;
• Undertake reasonable additional tasks at the request of the Store Supervisor.

Skills

• Proven computer skills, with the use of software such as SAP;
• Be able to use MS Excel spreadsheets;
• Ability to establish inventory reconciliation, identify errors in inventory data or stock levels, proactively research and find corrective solutions;
• To be extremely meticulous in his work;

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of warehouse standard operating procedures related to the area of ​​operations;
• General knowledge of the legislation relating to storage operations in the mining industry
• Basic knowledge of the articles of the mining inventory;
• Good understanding of warehousing and logistics processes.

Experience

• 2 years of experience in bonded warehouses and logistics, minimum.

Qualifications

• State diploma
• Driving license (light vehicle, lifting machine) would be advantageous
