After 9 months of suspension, activities resume at the Mupondeponde mining site in Maniema DRC
More than nine (9) months after the suspension of mining at the Mupondeponde mine site, located in the territory of Kailo, in the province of Maniema, the provincial authorities have decided to reopen this site.
It was Mwami Walanga Buterezi, Acting Provincial Minister of Mines, who proceeded aknu to this reopening during an official mission of this mining operation.
The latter took advantage of this opportunity to set up a new mining cooperative legally established in this mining site.
In addition, the Provincial Minister of Mines of Maniema urged the leaders of this new mining cooperative to tax culture by putting themselves in order with the various provincial mining taxes in order to promote tax inclusion.
