KAMOA Copper SA is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Artisan, Specialist Mechanical & Fitting to join our dynamic team.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Ensure the installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment in its area of responsibility in accordance with Company standards. Perform inspections and tests of all lifting installations, as required by law.
Minimum Requirements…
- Qualifications in mechanical engineering
- Millwright / Fitter & Turner trade test
- 10 years experience in: winches, pumps, well maintenance / repairs, well sinking.
- Certificate of competence of industrial mechanic (mechanics and boiler making).
- Experience with the most recent lifting installations as well as safety and brake control systems.
- Knowledge of: non-destructive test procedures for winch components; electromagnetic cable testing; and dynamic testing of lifting devices.
