The National Minister in charge of Mines, Antoinette N’SAMBA KALAMBAYI met in the morning of Tuesday, April 19, 2022, with the Ambassador of Canada accredited to the DRC, Benoît Pierre Laramée in his office in Gombe.

For the Canadian diplomat, this meeting allowed him to officially present to the Minister the invitation for a speech at the mining forum to be held in Toronto (Canada) in June.

At the end of this audience, Benoît Pierre Laramée had words just to enlighten the knights of the pen.

“As you know, Canada is a great mining country. We are quite ready to develop our relationship especially in the mining sector, at the same time, I have come to bring to the Minister, the official invitation for a Mininig Africa forum to be held in Toronto (Canada).
And to add,
“The forum will give the opportunity to the National Minister in charge of Mines, Antoinette N’SAMBA KALAMBAYI to highlight all the mining potentials that exist in the DRC, so that she can attract investors to develop the mining industry, and also get in touch with companies that will also make it possible to highlight these mining potentials either through mapping or geophysics and other services that can be used by the DRC.”

Very receptive and especially committed to the development of the country in its sector, the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’SAMBA KALAMBAYI said she was interested especially since it is a question of highlighting the DRC to international miners.

According to the Ambassador of Canada to the DRC, in total, more than 350 participants around the world are interested in the mining sector in Africa.
