SGS Minerals Business Line is looking for a strong Business Development manager to assist in developing the Minerals business in Southern Africa
The ideal candidate for this position will be a person with sufficient maturity to command respect from those he/she deals with, whilst possessing enough energy and passion. A successful history and background in business development and or Sales is required, supported by a proven record of accomplishment with knowledge and experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help execute a comprehensive business development strategy.
You will be expected to:
· Analyses market opportunities for existing and new services / markets, identify potential clients, develop client relationships and drive the market position
· Design and implement business strategy to develop the Minerals business to ensure continued revenue and profitability
· Conduct or assist in contract negotiations
· Designs and develops proposals to both existing (mandate expansion) and new clients (market extension)
· Leads, coordinates and contributes to the preparation of tender’s documents and submissions
· Conducts contract negotiations and/or supports Area / Laboratory Managers in contract negotiations
· Provides feedback to Business Manager and Operations on clients and market needs or demands
· Identify potential clients & market opportunities
· Prepares and submit periodic reports on sales activities and strategies for the different countries and projects
· Shares best practice and ensure compliance with Compliance and Integrity Code of Practice
Qualification and Experience
· University degree or similar
· Minimum 5years experience in a Minerals services/project Management environment
· Business and profit minded
· English fluent.
