Astec signs distributor for African countries

 Astec Industries has appointed Aramine as an official dealer of Astec Material Solutions in the West African countries of Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo and Niger and the Maghreb areas of Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Aramine will become an official dealer for Astec in several African countries. Zambian official says Glencore reverses plan to shut Mopani operations.

Glencore told the Zambian government this week that it wants to keep operating its Zambian copper mining subsidiary Mopani Copper Mines (MCM), not shutter the operations, mines ministry permanent secretary Barnaby Mulenga said on Sunday. Mopani Copper Mines is 73.1% owned by Glencore, 16.9% by First Quantum Minerals and 10% by ZCCM-IH.
