Barrick Gold has awarded a contract to Australian “drones-as-a-service” provider Delta Drone for advanced light detection and ranging (LIDAR) services at Barrick’s project in Mali. Sweden’s Epiroc has secured a US$10 million order for battery-electric mining equipment from a subsidiary of Canadian miner company Ivanhoe Mines.
