Didier Budimbu promises to support oil companies ready to invest in this sector- DRC
The Minister of Hydrocarbons, Me Didier Budimbu, took part from November 10 to 11, 2021 in the 27th edition of Africa Oil Week held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The day before the end of this meeting which brought together oil operators in particular, Didier Budimbu presented to Madinat Jumeirah (part of this meeting) the investment opportunities offered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the oil sector. .
Didier Budimbu took this opportunity to announce to oil and gas investors that he is ready to support them if they want to invest in the DRC.
” I am ready to support any oil operator wishing to engage in the exploration and production of Hydrocarbons in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ” Minister Budimbu said.
In addition, Didier Budimbu congratulated the authorities of the country which hosted this 27th edition of Africa Oil Week, despite the difficult context marked by the health crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
” This meeting allowed the participants to exchange their respective experiences by opening up on the possibilities of investments “, added Didier Budimbu.
It should also be recalled that the Minister of Hydrocarbons, on the occasion of this meeting, announced that a call for tenders will be launched in the first quarter of 2022 to allocate the oil blocks.
Bringing together the oil industry under the theme “Succeeding in a changing market”, Africa Oil Week brought together opinion leaders from the industry and government representatives who notably discussed how to reshape the future of oil and gas in Africa.
This event received massive support from major oil, gas and energy organizations around the world such as TotalEnergies, Eni, Chevron, Equinor, Perenco, ReconAfrica, Seplat, Tullow Oil, Africa Oil Corp, PGS, Fugro and Africa Oil Week’s Business Intelligence partner, Wood Mackenzie.
Due to the focus by the organizers on the safety and well-being of the participants, the event was held for the first and only time in the Emirate.
