DRC: 1.083 million tonnes of cement produced in 2020, down 21% compared to 2019
The cement industry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo produced 1 million 83,484 tonnes of cement during the year 2020 against 1 million 382,081 tonnes in 2019, i.e. a drop in production of 21%, according to the statistics recorded by the Central Bank. of the Congo.
Although declining, cement production in 2020 is higher than in 2018, estimated at 1,048,340 tonnes, and in 2017, which was 899,533 tonnes.
