DRC: expected mining revenues this year estimated at 1.389 billion USD, or 31% of current revenues of the 2021 budget
The central government expects revenue from the mining sector in the order of 2,873,065,636,256 CDF (1.389 billion USD at the average budget rate of 2067 FC / US dollar), according to the revenue forecast of the 2021 Budget.
Compared to the total current revenues for 2021 estimated at 9,021,591,809,256 CDF, mining revenues represent 31.8% this year.
These mining revenues will be collected by the three financial authorities including the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) for 1,816,670 352,070 CDF, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGDA) for 395,081 832,443 CDF as well as the Directorate General of Revenue administrative (DGRAD) for 661 313 451 743 CDF.
Mining revenues in the DRC will come mainly, according to the 2021 forecasts, from the profit and profit tax (IBP) for 999 417 955 354 CDF, from customs import duties for 389 307 475 805 CDF, from the royalty mining for 609 332 855 478 CDF or the tax on the salaries of nationals for 222 135 196 078 2 CDF.
It should be noted that the mining revenues expected in 2021 are down 20.7% compared to the forecasts for 2020 which were set at 3,622,548,695,210 CDF.
