DRC Minister of Mines opens the work of the 40th World Diamond Congress in Tel Aviv
The Congolese Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’Samba Kalambayi, gave the go to the activities of the 40th World Diamond Congress in Israel whose exchanges began on March 28 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The Israel Diamond Exchange conference room of the Tel Aviv Diamond Exchange served as the setting for the organization of this ceremony.
Antoinette N’samba Kalambayi, Minister of Mines of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) therefore had the honor of launching these activities in the presence of the President and Vice-President of the Israel Diamond Bourse.
A few minutes earlier, the audience followed, via video projector, the words of encouragement from the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and those of welcome from the President of the Stock Exchange, Boaz Moldawsky.
The Assembly was also treated to a documentary film highlighting the experience and skills of the industry and the Training Center for processing and cutting Israel’s diamonds for 60 years.
It should be noted that, within the framework of this Congress, the organization plans for this adamantine week, in particular the official resumption of the activities of the stock exchange suspended for 3 years, following the pandemic of the covid-19, the conference of the presidents of 40 world stock exchanges and the launch of a new diamond processing plant in Tel Aviv.
It should also be noted that a thousand participants are taking part in this World Congress, the launch of which took place in the exhibition and processing center for rough diamonds in the presence of numerous diamond professionals, including exhibitors, sellers and speakers from China, United States of America, Brazil, France, Belgium, United Arab Emirates, India and Italy to name a few
On the sidelines of this Congress, the Congolese Minister of Mines, in the company of heads of specialized services, had a private meeting with the president of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Boaz Moldawsky.
The afternoon of this first day was dedicated to visiting some holy places in Jerusalem. The delegation visited the Mount of Olives, the old city of Jerusalem to close this period when the Jews are preparing to celebrate the crossing, a period which coincides with the preparations for the celebration of Christian Easter.
