DRC: Willy Kitobo rehabilitates the head of the Lualaba mines division
The head of the mines division of the province of Lualaba was rehabilitated in his post on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, by the outgoing Minister of Mines, Willy Kitobo.
According to the minister, this rehabilitation comes after the in-depth analysis, discussions with the authorities of the province on this file and even some investigations with the advisers on the spot.
Willy Kitobo asks the General Secretariat for Mines to carry out an operational audit.
According to him, this is the only way to shed light on the real progress of artisanal mining activities in the provinces.
It should be recalled that the head of the mines division of Lualaba was
suspended from his functions for fraud, smuggling and illicit exploitation of mines.
