DRC’s Financial authorities collect CDF 69.5B from Oil Revenues as of March 3, 2023

The oil revenues mobilized by the financial authorities of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), as of March 3, 2023, are estimated at 69.5 billion Congolese Francs CDF, or nearly 34 million USD.

This is what the weekly digest of statistical information from the Central Bank of Congo (BCC) provides in its report dated March 8 of the current year.

During the period under analysis, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) mobilized CDF 13,143.83 billion from oil revenues.

In addition, the General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, State and Participations Revenue (DGRAD) collected 56,410.38 billion Congolese Francs (CDF) during this period.

For the current budget year, the Government of the Republic hopes to mobilize CDF 615.4 billion, or nearly USD 304 million at the annual budget rate of 2021 CDF per US dollar from oil producers.

The revenue assigned to the financial authorities concerned is around CDF 197.3 billion for the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) against CDF 418.1 billion for the General Directorate of Administrative, State and Shareholding Revenue (DGRAD) .

At the end of June 2022, the Congolese Government had mobilized a total amount of CDF 349.5 billion from oil producers, i.e. an achievement rate of 177% compared to linear forecasts.
