PURPOSE
Long term outlook would be to ensure the development of future supervisors. Short term: Undergo training on all equipment classes within the production environment; gain an understanding of mining production practical situations and experience, gain hands on understanding of the mining value chain. Be involved in ad hoc projects, investigations that would require a financial appreciation and critical thinking ability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the safety process improvements of the mine
- Follow training program over respective machinery
- Successfully complete training and training assessments within time
- Enquire from all colleagues to develop skill transfer
- Critically assess all production processes for potential improvement
- Take interest in potential project and approach supervisor with proposals
- Compile Monthly progress reports
- Conduct ad hoc projects
- Complete and present monthly projects
- Organizing and performing admin duties
- Other duties as directed by the Direct Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or Survey
- Registered Member of EIZ
