Improving Sino-Congolese cooperation in the mining sector | DRC

The Sino-Congolese round table of the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’Samba Kalambayi, in the eastern part of the DRC, is already bearing fruit! This is the very meaning of the audience, which she granted to His Excellency ZHU Jing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At the heart of these exchanges was the issue of cooperation between China and the DRC in the mining sector.

This is part of the win-win axiom, with a view to further strengthening this partnership, which contributes enormously to industrialization, the economy and the well-being of the Congolese population.

According to ZHU Jing, his government’s position is clear in relation to Chinese investors. Those who are immersed in the illegal exploitation of minerals in the DRC must comply with the laws that govern this sector.

As for those in the private mining sector, China intends to work with the DRC to raise awareness among the Chinese community about this. For this purpose, the diplomat of Mao Zedong’s country asked the Minister of Mines to compile a list of private mining companies operating in the DRC.
