Overall Job Purpose

  • To maintain the physical and electronic GIT shipping document archives and to maintain and create as appropriate the associated records and reporting systems

Specific Job Responsibility

  • Maintain updated physical and electronic files
  • Ensure that archived information is easily accessible
  • Contact outside sources for missing information or aid people in retrieving information
  • Check to ensure physical files are complete
  • Update file information
  • Create new folders and files
  • Modify or purge entries in electronic archive
  • Process and scan files to be entered into computer in electronic archive and indexed in digital database
  • Perform any other duties as and when assigned by hierarchical superior

Job Specific Competencies

  • Familiarity with Customs clearing regulations and practice
  • Familiarity with practices, processes and procedures throughout the logistics chain

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar task environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of Pronto
  • Familiarity with Company administrative structure and practices
  • Must be familiar with electronic office equipment and PDF conversion software

Qualifications

  • ZCILT certificate
  • CIPS qualification
  • Full Grade 12
