Metso Outotec launches new Crossover feeder
Metso Outotec has launched its latest Crossover feeder, a hybrid feeding solution for greenfield and brownfield mine sites designed to cut costs and increase reliability for bulk material transportation.
The company said the Crossover feeder design features a reduced height of up to 50% compared to conventional feeding technology. The lower height requirement provides an opportunity for CAPEX savings by decreasing required excavation works.
Additionally, it said the Crossover feeder complements its already “versatile feeding portfolio,” including Apron feeders and Belt feeders.
Brian Bookamyer, director, bulk materials handling at Metso Outotec, said the Crossover feeder was designed to be a “flexible and economical solution in a wide range of applications where belt and apron feeders are not the optimal fit.”
The Crossover feeder is the latest innovation from the Finland-based developer of sustainable industrial technologies. on 1 November it announced the launch of its Concorde Cell Flotation technology, designed to improve plant operating costs and cut water consumption.
