Metso Outotec launches shutdown packages

Finnish mining equipment company Metso Outotec has launched a range of service packages aimed at improving shutdown performance.

The company’s three Shutdown Services programmes include planning and execution activities aimed at easing a customer’s planned shutdown or turnaround.

While the Shutdown Readiness package focuses on benchmarking and optimization recommendations, the Shutdown Support package aims at minimizing shutdown duration and maximizing plant availability.

Finally, the Shutdown Total Solution package offers additional advisory, management support and execution management options.

“Metso Outotec provides expert advisory services, complete shutdown project management, even hands-on labor using our skilled technicians and approved contractors. From crushing and grinding to smelting and refining, we can support our customers across their entire company flowsheet,” states Leigh Mercieca, director of  Shutdown Services at Metso Outotec.

The company expects to service shutdown projects for crushers, mills, flotation circuits, and filters, and also offers a refractory demolition service.
