SGS is looking for a Trade Manager who will be responsible to plan, organize, lead and control the Trade Business in Zambia, to meet business objectives and ensure compliance to the Company policies and business guidelines.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Business Manager you the roles is expected to:
- To manage business performance of the Minerals Trade Business in Zambia.
- To manage business development in line with the Minerals Trade Services Strategic Plan
- To focus on business expansion of Minerals Trade Services portfolio by:
- Looking for new profitable business activities
- Maintain existing clients with regular customer maintenance and care
- To strengthen market position and increase local market share.
- To provide leadership and further staff development to all staff in the division
- To implement the Marketing & Communication Strategy in line with the Group
- To Cooperate with colleagues in other regions to optimize business development.
- To verify, approve and authorise reports for submission to the client
- To determine and submit budget for the division to senior management
Qualification and Experience
- Degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy or Mining related business Management
- Strong Marketing and Sales knowledge and skills
- Relevant experience of 5-10 years in Mining/Metallurgy industry
- Knowledge of the industry safety, health and environmental management standards.
- Possess administrative/supervisory/management skills.
- Contractual knowledge in Local and International Minerals trade
- Fluent in English
