President Hichilema Assures Support and Urges Hope Amid Trapped Miners’ Ordeal
In a gathering at the Chingola Civic Centre, President Hakainde Hichilema addressed the families of the trapped miners, urging them to remain calm and steadfast during this challenging period. He assured them that the government is diligently working to swiftly conclude the rescue operation.
President Hichilema emphasized the importance of maintaining hope and urged the affected families not to succumb to mourning but to channel their energies into prayer, rallying for the safe retrieval of the trapped miners.
During the meeting, the President extended financial support by providing Ten thousand Kwacha to each affected family. He expressed gratitude for their patience and resilience throughout this trying time.
Dorothy Kangwa, a representative of the affected families, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the government for its unwavering support and the prompt initiation of the rescue mission.
