Rome Resources Confirms Extensive Copper and Tin Mineralization at Mont Agoma

AIM-listed Rome Resources has announced promising assay results from drill hole MADD018 at its Mont Agoma prospect in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The results confirm a cumulative 62.25 m higher-grade copper zone at 0.61% within a broader 148 m intercept averaging 0.35% copper.

Recent drilling has also revealed visible tin across a 40 m interval in hole MADD024, along with a 179 m visible copper zone. Located approximately 70 m beneath the earlier MADD012 drill hole—which reported a 40 m-wide tin zone grading between 0.1% and 0.3%—MADD024 appears to show increasing tin grades at depth.

While assay results for MADD024 are still pending, initial X-ray fluorescence (XRF) readings support Rome’s geological model, reinforcing its strategy to drill deeper for tin mineralization.

Mont Agoma has previously returned significant polymetallic mineralization results, with copper and zinc dominating near-surface zones while tin grades increase at depth.

With mineralization remaining open along strike and at depth, these findings provide a strong foundation for further exploration.

Rome Resources has also initiated metallurgical discussions with industry specialists to optimize recovery of copper, tin, zinc, and silver from both Mont Agoma and the nearby Kalayi prospect.

“The confirmation of 148 m of copper mineralization at Mont Agoma is a major milestone in defining the potential scale of this system,” said CEO Paul Barrett. “Our results indicate a large-scale, high-value copper, tin, zinc, and silver system.

Importantly, mineralization remains open along strike and at depth, with a 1,000 m northward extension providing further potential for expansion.”

With all four drill rigs now focused on Mont Agoma, Rome Resources is accelerating its exploration efforts, including deeper drilling to assess increasing tin grades and further strike extensions.

“This expanded drill program will deliver a steady stream of results as we work toward defining a significant copper-tin system. We are making excellent progress toward a maiden inferred mineral resource estimate,” Barrett added.
