We are looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Scaffolder. This is a permanent position with a rotation of 4 days of work, 2 days of rest [BA1] and remuneration including an attractive salary and an incentive payment based on performance.
The role of the Scaffolder is to ensure the installation of quality scaffolding at the Kinsevere hydro-metallurgical plant or throughout the site according to demand, in accordance with the standards of the MMG Kinsevere site and the rules of Safety at Work.
Key responsibilities
- Mounting scaffolding
- Perform scaffolding tasks on time and safely according to company standards and values.
Skills
- Skills in scaffolding and knowledge of the standards applied to them;
- Basic communication skills;
- Ability to work in groups or individually according to company procedures and policies.
- Ability to work at height and safely
- Ability to work under pressure and perform well in the time frame for the task while meeting company safety standards
Knowledge
- General knowledge of Scaffolding Montage
- Basic knowledge in the management and risk assessment of scaffolding.
- Basic knowledge of the standards and requirements associated with scaffolding and height work.
Experience
- Have previous experience of a year in Editing of Scaffoldings
- Have previous experience working at heights and mounting structures
- Have one-year experience in a mining company
Qualifications
- Have completed high school as needed
- Being able to read and write in French and English is an asset
- Basic, intermediate and/or advanced training on scaffolding.
- Have a light vehicle driver’s license
