Responsibilities:
- Support the Kinsevere Mine Life Assessment model, including technical and financial data collection
- Support strategic development planning and asset planning processes
- Support the conduct and evaluation of business improvement initiatives
- Ensure efficient and accurate business analysis for the operations department in a timely manner, such as project development, business development, mergers and acquisitions, business reviews, technical services and operational excellence
- Provide business analysis for ad hoc variances and scenario analysis for forecast, budget and other management team requests.
- Provide technical support and coaching to the operations team as needed
- Provide analytical support to group office functions as required.
Skills:
- Proven skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to interpret data and present results concisely
- Demonstrated skills in assessment model and understanding of mine plan (desirable)
- Ability to work unsupervised and on time
- Communication skills, English and French, written and verbal.
Knowledge :
- Good understanding of life-of-mine planning and business analysis
- Experience in business case / evaluation model / operational excellence
- Familiarization with the analysis of physical or financial data
- Familiarization with mining / processing / maintenance / project
- Analytical, interpretive and constructive thinking skills
- Knowledge of business contracts and procurement processes
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a business analyst / engineer / specialist role with a large organization with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a mining environment
Qualifications
- Mining engineer diploma / Metallurgical engineer diploma / Financial engineer diploma
- Professional qualification in mining / accounting
