SICOMINES condemns persistent accusations By ODEP and defends its reputation
La Sino-Congolaise des Mines SA has noticed for some time the abusive use of his name in several files which does not concern him directly or indirectly and denounces a relentlessness on his person.
The joint venture cites an article published recently on the Public Expenditure Observatory (ODEP) which once again associates its name with a corruption case through a letter from a group of Chinese companies to which it does not not belong.
SICOMINES wishes to clarify the opinion that there are various groupings of companies, each of which has its own composition and identity. It is in no way concerned by the file raised by the ODEP and calls on the stakeholders to work for the interest of the local communities.
The company remains respectful of Congolese law and concerned about the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo, reserves the right to appeal to the competent authorities to assert its rights. It calls on the various parties to professionalism and mutual respect.
SICOMINES reminds once again that it is not part of the partnership letter of Shanghai Industrial Investment (Holdings) Co., Ltd. (SIIC) and that it has no connection with the said “group of Chinese companies”, to which the ODEP alludes and insists on common sense to avoid any manipulation.
