SICOMINES focuses on training “talents” to develop the mining industry in the DRC

La Sino congolaise des mines (SICOMINES), a mining company owned by the Congolese and Chinese Governments, announces the training of talents to hope for the development of the mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

On its Twitter account, the company announces the development of technology in its facilities to hope to win the bet. A situation which, if it continues, could contribute significantly to the emergence of the mining sector in the DRC.

Located in Kolwezi in the province of Lualaba, SICOMINES is one of the richest copper-cobalt mines in the world. It is divided into six (6) parts, with a total area of ​​11.5 square kilometers.

It is estimated and counts 250 million tons for its ore reserves of which that of copper has a content of 3.22% and that of cobalt, 0.192%. Its copper yield can reach 8.55 million tons, and for cobalt yield, 0.51 million tons.
