The European Union remains the first destination for Congolese diamond exports with 3.2 million carats sold in the 1st half of 2022
The Democratic Republic of Congo exported a volume of 6 million 225.223 carats of diamonds for a value of 82 million 650.118 USD in the 1st half of 2022, according to statistics from the Ministry of Mines.
Of this volume of diamonds exported, approximately half was sold in the countries of the European Union and mainly in Belgium, ie 3 million 206,015 carats of diamonds.
The second diamond destination of the DRC remains the United Arab Emirates with 2 million 751,460 carats sold in the 1st half of 2022.
India comes in third position among the Congolese diamond buyer countries with a volume of 264,804 carats sold in the first half of 2022.
