The ounce of gold hits a record high of US $ 1,930.48 on Monday July 27

Several exchanges announce that an ounce of gold reached the bar of 1,930.48 USD on Monday July 27th on the market, thus beating the historic level of September 2011 when the yellow metal was trading at 1,921.18 USD.

One ounce of gold corresponds to a weight of 31.103 g of gold. It takes precisely 32.15 ounces of gold to get one kilogram of gold. And so at a price of $ 1,930.48 per ounce of gold, 1 Kg of gold is going to be worth around $ 62,064.

For many observers, gold remains the eternal safe haven in this period when the world economy is rocking following the health crisis of COVID-19 which has not spared no continent.

Economic operators are opting to invest their capital in gold when we do not yet know how far this coronavirus pandemic, which affects several economic sectors, would go.

African countries producing the yellow metal like the DRC and South Africa, therefore, have bright prospects ahead of them with this ounce of gold which has just broken the 2011 record.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo had produced in 2019 a volume of 33,752.43 Kg of raw gold including industrial production estimated at 33,419.04 Kg against an artisanal production of 333.39 Kg. From this production, 33,055 Kg of gold were exported earning $ 1 billion 12 million $ 976,216. as shown in the table below.
