The price of Cobalt rises to 34,256 USD per tonne this week
After several months of scarcity on the international market, the price of cobalt should record a price increase this week.
According to projections by experts from the Commission Nationale des Mercuriiales, a service attached to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, cobalt should trade at 34,256 USD per tonne this week against 33,556 USD per tonne last week, i.e. a price difference positive of 700 USD.
Cobalt should not be the only mining product exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to experience a price increase this week.
Statistical data from the National Mercurial Commission indicates that tin should record a price increase to 25,970 USD per tonne this week against 24,480 USD per tonne last week, an increase of 1,490 USD.
Gold would sell around 64.30 USD per gram this week against 63.88 USD per gram last week, a positive price difference of 0.42 USD.
Silver is also up this week at $0.78 per gram from $0.75 per gram last week, a positive spread of $0.03.
As for tantalum, this product shows a stable trend this week in the international market to trade around 410 USD per kilogram.
Experts from the Mercurial Commission note that copper should experience a slight drop in price this week to 8,928 USD per ton against 8,940 USD last week, a drop of 11.35 USD.
Similarly, zinc is expected to record a drop in its price this week to 2,912 USD per tonne against 2,935 USD per tonne last week, a decline of 23.05 USD.
