Tin records a price drop of around USD 3,073.75 per tonne this week
The general trend of mining products exported from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the international market is downward during the period from June 27 to July 2, 2022.
This is what the weekly note of the National Commission of Mercurial, a structure attached to the Ministry of Foreign Trade.
According to the data provided by this structure, tin is expected to register a drop in price during this week to sell at 33,150.00 USD per ton compared to 36,223.75 USD per ton last week, a difference negative price of around 3,073.75 USD.
On the London Stock Exchange (London Metal Exchange), the ton of tin is displayed at 28,125.00 USD this Wednesday, June 29, 2022, i.e. a lower price compared to the projections of the National Mercurial Commission.
Tin had reached a record value since the beginning of 2022 by trading at more than USD 44,010.00 per ton in the market until May 2022.
The prices of different mining products exported from the DRC are as follows during this period on the market:
• Copper shows a drop in price of around 434.7 USD. It is expected to trade around USD 8,960.20 per tonne this week versus USD 9,394.90 per tonne last week.
Zinc is also down this week at 3,640.95 USD per tonne against 3,702.40 USD per tonne last week, a negative price difference of 61.45 USD.
Cobalt is expected to hold steady in the international market this week at USD 87,781.05 per tonne.
Gold is trading this week at $59.31 per gram versus $59.38 per gram last week, giving a negative price differential of $0.07.
Tantalum is at 405 USD per Kg this week against 410 USD per Kg last week, i.e. a negative price difference of 5 USD.
Silver is also expected to trend flat this week at $0.70 per gram.
