World: The price of a gram of gold settled at 59.80 USD on weekdays (official)
The price of a gram of gold saw a marked improvement in the international market during the week of May 24-29, 2021, trading at $ 59.80 versus $ 57.66 in the week of May 17-22, 2021.
These indications on the trend of commercial mining products were revealed in a press release on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, by the Congolese Ministry of Foreign Trade.
The same document informs that Silver and Tantalum are also experiencing a price rise in the international market during the same period, trading at $ 0.90 vs. $ 0.86 per gram, and $ 227 vs. $ 226, respectively. USD per kilogram, during the period under review.
It is also observed that precious metals such as copper, cobalt, zinc and tin have recorded a decline on the international market.
Copper is trading at $ 10,260.40 per tonne from $ 10,435.20 the week before.
Cobalt is down to $ 44,027.00 from $ 44,970 last week.
On the other hand, Zinc is obtained at 2 960.30 USD per tonne against 2 938.80 USD.
The tin price comes to $ 31,858.20 per tonne compared to $ 33,645.40.
Note that raw materials such as copper, cobalt and gold are the main products that fuel the economy of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
As a result, the Congolese Government remains very attentive to the evolution of the world market for these mining products.
