Central Copper Resources (CCR), a company focused on delivering copper assets in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia, is targeting a new copper zone in the DRC. Central Copper CEO Kevin van Wouw said that there was a geographical feature or fault running east to west from north Angola through the DRC into Congo-Brazzavile. Sandvik opens Argentina service centre

Swedish mining engineering firm Sandvik’s Mining and Rock Solutions division has added a new service centre in Caleta Olivia, province of Santa Cruz, to its Argentina facilities. Sandvik said the maintenance and repair workshop for mining equipment, which opened in July, offers South America’s first test bench for transmissions, axles and converters.
