Metso orders increase 29% in March quarter

Orders to Finnish machinery company Metso Outotec jumped by 29% in the March quarter to €1.42 billion. The increase in orders was driven by high commodity prices and production rates in the mining sector. Sales increased 26% to €1.16 billion, while operating profit increased 53% to €139 million. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter grew 37% to €157 million.
