The release of the new Epiroc ET66, ET45 and ET38 drill strings the company says marks a substantial breakthrough in tophammer drilling efficiency and reliability. Japanese multinational Hitachi’s African business, Hitachi Construction Machinery Africa (HCAF), is making available to the Southern African market the Zaxis 7G Series excavator and the BX100 Shinrai-Power backhoe loader. On August 12, Chinese mining equipment major XCMG and mining giant Rio Tinto signed a global cooperation framework agreement in Conakry, the capital of Guinea.
