Canadian miner Trigon Metals has secured $8.9m in  Financing from Epiroc South Africa to buy underground mining equipment to help relaunch operations at its Kombat copper mine in Namibia. Sandvik has received a major order from a customer in Australia for the supply of underground mining equipment. The order includes Toro™ TH663i underground trucks, Toro™ LH517i and Toro™ LH621i underground loaders as well as a DD422i development drill rig with dual control. The order is valued at around SEK 460 million and was booked in the second quarter 2023. Metso has received a contract from Canadian company First Quantum Minerals (FQM) for the delivery of minerals processing equipment to the Kansanshi copper mine S3 expansion in Zambia. Under the contract, which is valued at more than €20m ($21.78m), Metso will supply equipment such as apron feeders, mechanical flotation cells, high-intensity Concorde Cell units, HRT thickeners and a clarifyer.
