Through the EU Global Gateway Strategy, the EU and the Ministry of Energy are making progress towards increasing access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy. The general trend of the main mining export products of the Democratic Republic of the Congo shows a downward trend during this week from February 20 to 25, 2023, according to projections by the National Mercurial Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. The only product showing a stable trend is tantalum which is still trading this week around 380 USD per kg on the international market. DRC Exports 2,220 Tons of Tantalum Concentrates Worth $79M in 2022

The Democratic Republic of Congo exported during the year 2022 a volume of 2,220 tons of tantalum concentrates representing a value of 79.1 million USD, according to data from the Ministry of Mines. Almost half of the tantalum exported by the DRC comes from the province of North Kivu, i.e. 1080 tons exported for a market value of 58 million USD.
