Félix Tshisekedi orders the valuation of natural gas in the ONSHORE part of the Atlantic Coast Basin | DRC

During the 44th meeting of the Council of Ministers, the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, focused on the problem of the valuation of natural gas in the land area of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Moanda in the province of Central Congo.
 

“For the President of the Republic, this would undoubtedly constitute one of the solutions to reduce the energy deficit, in
particular for the mining industry through the production and marketing of electrical energy”, stated the Council of Ministers report.

The instructions were given to the ministers in charge of Hydrocarbons, Hydraulic Resources and Electricity as well as the Minister of Finance to finalize as soon as possible all aspects of this valuation document, particularly legal ones and the authorizations necessary for the realization of the said project which is essential for the development of our country DRC.

Félix Tshisekedi indicated the great interest that currently exists for the DRC in developing the natural gas from the concessions located in the ONSHORE of the Atlantic Coast Basin currently operated by the PERENCO-REP Company.

The DRC has about 37,000 km of coast bordering the Atlantic Ocean.
