Outotec expands flotation offering
Outotec has added two new flotation solutions to its product line, the TankCell s-Series flotation units and the CellStation, an intelligent solution for controlling the air feed and pulp level in flotation cells.
Outotec Tank Cell s-Series flotation units are standardized units based on Outotec’s proven TankCell e-Series solution. The company says the units provide superior metallurgical performance with a fast return on investment. They are easy to operate, allow a flexible layout, and are designed to enable gains in throughput, grade, and recovery, while improving the sustainability and minimizing the environmental impact of the process.
Outotec says it can design a tailor-made flotation circuit based on the s-Series that will deliver optimized cell volume and residence time for an individual plant. Units are available in sizes from 5 to 30 cubic metres.
Outotec CellStation is an intelligent solution that simplifies the often complex task of controlling the air feed and pulp levels in flotation cells – a task that becomes more challenging as the number and complexity of cells in configuration increases.
The solution incorporates Outotec’s Exact Level controller, which enables more accurate level control and significantly reduces process disturbance, resulting in more stable froth conditions and therefore improvements in the flotation cell’s metallurgical performance.
Outotec CellStation has plug-and-play connectivity with the Outotec FrothSense sensor system, which measures the essential properties of froth, including speed, direction, bubble size, stability, and color, and provides statistical data related to these variables.
