Changes to the ERG Board of Directors
Eurasian Resources Group S.à r.l. (ERG) announces key changes to its Board of Directors to further develop and strengthen the company in response to global challenges and rapidly changing market conditions:
–Mr. Shukhrat Ibragimov has been elected Chairman of the Board, serving since 2021.
–Mr. Sabir Chodiev replaces Dr. Patokh Chodiev.
–Mr. Eduard Surlevich replaces Dr. Alexander Machkevitch.
-Representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Serik Zhumangarin and Minister of Finance Mr. Madi Takiyev, will continue in their roles as board members.
The contributions of ERG’s founding shareholders, Dr. Alexander Machkevitch, Dr. Patokh Chodiev, and Mr. Alijan Ibragimov, have been pivotal in transforming ERG into a global leader since 2014, creating thousands of jobs and implementing social projects that improve local communities’ living standards.
The new board members, who have extensive experience and long-standing involvement with ERG, will continue working with the shareholders to achieve the company’s strategic goals.
Their expertise ensures that ERG remains stable and consistent in its mission to drive global change while staying true to its core values.
Biographies
Shukhrat Ibragimov
Shukhrat Ibragimov has been with ERG since 2021 and now serves as Chairman. With ten years of experience in various positions, including production planning and project development, Mr. Ibragimov has been instrumental in several key projects, such as Metalkol, one of the world’s top three cobalt producers.
He is also involved in several charitable initiatives and holds positions on the boards of Eurasia Insurance Company and Eurasian Bank. Mr. Ibragimov graduated from the European Business School in London and the Beijing Language and Culture University.
Sabir Chodiev
Sabir Chodiev has been with ERG since 2008 and has served in various roles, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer and First Deputy General Director in Kazakhstan.
He has extensive expertise in investment, private wealth management, and philanthropic activities through the International Chodiev Foundation. Mr. Chodiev is a graduate of University College London, Harvard Business School, and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Eduard Surlevich
Eduard Surlevich has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer since early 2023, focusing on sales, marketing, and business development in Africa.
He brings extensive experience in supply chain management, logistics, and trade from his previous role with a global commodity trading company in Switzerland. Mr. Surlevich is a graduate of the School of International Business and Business Administration of MGIMO University.
