Job description: The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the casting wheel equipment in order to produce copper anodes for subsequent dispatch to Refinery department for electro-refining.
The responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to the following
Operate the casting wheels in line with the Casting Operations Manual.
Ensure all moulds are dressed and levelled on casting wheel by means of spirit level and pay consistent attention during the casting operations to achieve casting rate and rejection rate targets
Work in coordination with maintenance personnel during precast checks and repair works
Grease the casting wheel jack screws as required
Ensure all safety devices are in proper condition and all tools are in the right places
Report any faulty equipment or process to the Team Lead
Follow the safe work procedures for the casting plant
Ensure there are no unauthorized personnel on and around the casting wheel during operation
Observe and enforce safety regulations and report any faults to supervisors for timely corrective ac
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
Valid First Aid Certificate
At least 2 years of experience with casting wheels’ operations.
In-house Training Course on Casting Wheel operation
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
