Askari Metals Completes Full Acquisition of Eyasi Uranium Project in Tanzania

Askari Metals has announced the full acquisition of the Eyasi Uranium Project in northern Tanzania through its subsidiary, Infinum Uranium.

The project was identified as a highly prospective target for surface uranium deposits following an extensive review of geological and geophysical data.

The Eyasi Uranium Project spans 292 km² and is located approximately 320 km northwest of Dodoma. The project’s geology is dominated by the Precambrian Eastern Granulite Complex and is associated with the East African Rift system.

The region’s geological features suggest the presence of uraniferous fluvial channel systems, where uranium is likely hosted within coarser-grained, permeable sediment layers.

Askari Metals’ mineralization model also indicates the potential for secondary, placer-style fluvial uranium deposits, derived from primary uraniferous granites.

To further explore this potential, the company plans an initial reconnaissance sampling campaign along the paleochannel systems to better define mineralization and guide future exploration.

The company aims to fast-track a series of low-cost exploration programs designed to generate drill targets. These programs will include a high-resolution remote sensing study using satellite imagery, ground-based radiometric surveys with a scintillometer, and field reconnaissance, such as geological mapping and stream sediment sampling.

Tanzania’s government, under President Samia Suluhu, has shown a strong commitment to the development of the mining sector, aiming to increase its contribution to GDP from 6.7% in 2020 to 10% by 2025.

Gino D’Anna, Managing Director of Askari Metals, commented, “The Eyasi Project represents a significant exploration opportunity for Askari and is a strong addition to our Tanzanian uranium portfolio.

We are well-positioned to execute high-impact, low-cost exploration campaigns and are excited to begin work at Eyasi to sample these promising anomalous systems.”

This acquisition follows Askari Metals’ purchase of the Matemanga Uranium Project in southern Tanzania earlier this year, also through Infinum Uranium. The Matemanga Project is currently in the application phase and is expected to progress to the full grant stage soon.
