Barrick Gold (TSX:ABX) (NYSE:GOLD) will finally be able to ship gold concentrate containers out of Tanzania, which has been sitting at Dar es Salaam Port for three years due to a dispute over taxes between the country and the gold giant’s now-defunct subsidiary, Acacia Mining. Workers at China Moly’s Tenke Fungurume end one-day strike over covid-19

Workers at China Molybdenum’s Tenke Fungurume Mining (TFM) mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo ended a one-day strike on Sunday after agreeing on a compromise with management over compensation for working in isolation for two months due to covid-19. The Chinese mining firm placed the TFM copper and cobalt mine in isolation from March 24 to try to protect the site from the coronavirus.
