Ivanhoe hits more high grades at Kakula

Ivanhoe Mines (TSX: IVN) reported on Wednesday that crews at Kakula mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) began mining and stockpiling ore with an average grade greater than 8% copper, with underground development approximately 4.4 kilometres ahead of schedule. Most metals markets will move into surplus in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, according to Fitch Solutions latest market report. Satellite communications services multinational Inmarsat’s research shows that 65% of mining organisations have fully deployed at least one Internet of Things- (IoT-) enabled project across their mine sites.
