Bolloré Africa Logistics rebranded to Africa Global Logistics (AGL)

On March 30, 2023, Bolloré Africa Logistics revealed its new brand. The company will now operate under the name AGL, which stands for Africa Global Logistics. The announcement was made in the presence of MSC leaders. In December of the previous year, the Bolloré Group, the leader in transport and logistics on the African continent, sold its activities for 5.7 billion euros to the giant MSC.

AGL, within the MSC Group, aims to continue to contribute to the sustainable transformation of Africa and emerging markets. The company wants to support the continent by providing tailor-made logistics solutions, improving connectivity between territories, and contributing to the development of a virtuous logistics ecosystem for all stakeholders.

With over 250 logistics and maritime agencies, 22 port and rail concessions, 66 dry ports, and 2 river terminals, AGL designs and implements solutions adapted to the needs of its clients throughout the value chain, including in less accessible areas. The company is an operator in multimodal logistics (port, logistics, maritime, and rail) and is a reference in Africa, improving the productivity of the terminals it operates for the benefit of all shipping companies. AGL will develop multimodal logistics solutions to meet its clients’ expectations and respond to the challenges of intra-African trade, energy transition, demographic growth, improvement of living conditions, and digitalization in Africa.

With its 21,000 employees spread across 49 countries, AGL aims to deploy a development strategy for the people of the continent. The company will continue to promote African talent and local SME ecosystems by supporting the development of the potential of young African talent. Concerned about its environmental impact, AGL will make sustainable investments, implement programs to promote eco-responsible transport (Green Terminal), and mobilize its employees, subcontractors, and suppliers to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment.
