Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for provision of culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for customers while ensuring food quality and maintaining kitchen equipment
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that quality and presentable food is prepared to satisfy all customers
- Responsible for creating menus
- Help with setting up the food-servicing area
- Event co-coordinating and food servicing whenever necessary
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor

Experience & Qualifications required to perform in this job
- Thorough knowledge of food preparation and servicing
- Experience in a variety of different kitchens with exposure to banqueting and industrial catering
- Proven creativity in menu planning and recipe creation
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Food Production or relevant field
